AM I UNDER ANY OBLIGATION TO YOU AFTER SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION?

No. You are under no obligation by applying. After you submit an application, a recruiter will contact you and start the placement process.

CAN I PICK UP SHIFTS TO FIT MY SCHEDULE?

Yes. We place nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals on a contract, temp-to-perm, per-diem, travel, and direct hire assignments that vary in location, time, and responsibilities.

CAN I WORK FULL TIME?

You can work as little or as much as you want. However, once you commit to an assignment, you are requested to fulfill the terms of that assignment.

DO I HAVE TO SIGN A LONG-TERM CONTRACT?

No. You can choose a situation that fits you. We offer temp-to-perm, per diem, direct placement, and short- and long-term contracts.

DOES ATC HEALTHCARE OFFER PER DIEM SHIFTS, LOCAL CONTRACTS AND TRAVEL ASSIGNMENTS FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES?

HOW LITTLE CAN I WORK IF I WORK PART-TIME?

Just check in with us once per week and we will keep you on the active list even if you are not available. We do ask that once you commit to an assignment that you fulfill the terms of that assignment.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO APPROVE MY APPLICATION AND FIND A NURSING JOB WITH ATC HEALTHCARE?

Not long at all. The placement process goes quickly once you provide us with your application and credentials. So, as long as you get us everything we need, you’ll be joining our team soon!

IS THERE A FEE FOR ME TO WORK WITH ATC HEALTHCARE?

Unlike some healthcare staffing agencies, there’s never a fee to work with us.

WHAT ABOUT OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY PAY?

We pay overtime if you work more than 40 hours in one week. Working on holidays usually earns overtime pay, although some facilities have limitations on holiday pay.

​

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T LIKE MY ASSIGNMENT?

You do not have to accept the assignment. We will call you back with other needs. We do ask that once you commit to an assignment that you fulfill the terms of that assignment, including staying for the duration of your shift or contract.

WHAT KIND OF JOB TRAINING DOES ATC HEALTHCARE SERVICES PROVIDE?

The training you receive will vary based on the role you seek. ATC Healthcare prides itself on encouraging ongoing education and job training of our employees. Be sure to contact one of our recruiters to discuss what job training options are available for you in the office with which you are seeking employment.

WHAT SHIFTS ARE AVAILABLE?

Our shifts vary depending on the facility. The majority of our shifts are 8, 10, or 12 hours.

WHAT TYPES OF REQUIREMENTS EXIST TO BECOME A HEALTHCARE ASSOCIATE WITH ATC HEALTHCARE SERVICES?

We are proud of the relationships we build with our clients and our professionals. We want to provide only the most qualified candidates so that you can be proud to be associated with ATC Healthcare. Because of that commitment, we have a hiring process to help us meet that goal.

  • Each candidate completes a comprehensive application and interview.

  • Professional references are checked through their two most recent employers.

  • Each individual’s license, CPR and other certifications are verified.

  • Each candidate must have a minimum of one year of experience in their specialty unless otherwise specified by the facility.

  • Each candidate must provide proof of current health record and annual proof of bloodborne pathogens training and immunization.

  • Each candidate’s ability to complete the tasks required in the job descriptions will be evaluated by skills checklists and testing programs.

  • Our candidates may be required to permit us to perform background checks and drug testing.

 

WHEN AND HOW WILL I BE PAID?

That is up to you. We offer daily and weekly options. Whether you want to get paid the same day as your shift, weekly, or any time in between, it is all up to you. WHICH HEALTHCARE JOBS DOES ATC HEALTHCARE STAFF?

WILL I GET THE ASSIGNMENTS I WANT?

You will be offered every assignment that matches your qualifications, and you can decide whether you want to accept the assignment.

                                                                                               EMPLOYERS

CAN I ADD MY SPOUSE AND/OR CHILDREN TO MY INSURANCE?

You can add your eligible dependents to your insurance for an additional monthly premium. Just complete the enrollment paperwork and pay the monthly premium.

CAN I INTERVIEW POTENTIAL CANDIDATES?

Yes. For direct hires, we arrange a telephone interview followed by a personal interview between you and the prospective employee. For travel contract staff, we arrange telephone interviews. Whether travel, direct hire or temporary staff, we interview and screen each healthcare professional to determine that he or she meets our high clinical, professional and personal standards.

HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR BENEFITS?

Healthcare Associates who work a minimum of 260 hours over a three-month period are eligible to participate in health insurance benefits. Other benefits may require 30 hours or more per week for 3 to 6 consecutive months to qualify.

​

MY MEDICAL FACILITY OFTEN NEEDS STAFF ON SHORT NOTICE. COULD ATC HEALTHCARE SERVICES STAFF QUICKLY?

ATC Healthcare Services has staffing consultants on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure that you are always able to reach someone to discuss your medical staffing needs.

MY ORGANIZATION FEELS THAT IT IS TOO COSTLY TO HIRE AN OUTSIDE STAFFING COMPANY. ARE THERE COST BENEFITS TO USING ATC HEALTHCARE SERVICES?

Our Healthcare Services employs cost effective strategies that generate a return on investment for our clients. The medical facilities that we staff have saved thousands of dollars every year by eliminating recruitment fees from their budget. These fees include placing advertisements and valuable time spent reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates. Further, the time we devote to ensuring candidates are well-qualified, credentialed and payrolled, generates opportunities to spend your days on what you do best taking care of your patients.

WHAT KIND OF EXPERIENCE DO I NEED TO BE AN EFFECTIVE TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE?

To succeed as a temporary employee, you must have the experience, maturity, and discipline to step into an unfamiliar job and setting, immediately assume a workload, and develop relationships with the other healthcare professionals in your assigned facility. In addition, our healthcare services will require that you have a specified number of years of experience in your chosen field since the company you’re assigned to is already short-staffed and supervision may be minimal.

WHAT QUALITY ASSURANCE MEASURES DOES ATC HEALTHCARE FOLLOW?

Our Healthcare Services maintains current, complete personnel files for all employees that meet state, federal, OSHA and JCAHO requirements. If you need additional information about an employee prior to or during a survey, we can provide the requested information prompt

WHAT WILL MY SALARY BE?

We make sure that we have some of the most competitive pay rates in the industry. Pay rates vary by the job type, facility, and specialty. Our team member will be able to give you more details regarding pay rates for specific assignments. Remember to check out our great benefits, too.

WHY SHOULD I WORK WITH A STAFFING FIRM?

Typically staffing firm employees earn more money than with traditional employment. There are also many other employment advantages, like being in control of your own schedule, and working as often or as infrequently as you want. You also can gain clinical experience in a variety of settings. Another nice advantage is that you can pick up per diem shifts to supplement a full-time job.

WILL SOMEONE FROM ATC HEALTHCARE BE AVAILABLE AROUND THE CLOCK?

We’re here for you, every hour of every day (even holidays!), with no exceptions. Our staff is available in the office from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. After hours staffing coordinators handle orders or customer service calls at other times.
